Dave Burke and Blogs

Okay, it is important to post to your blog at least once a year. Fortunately, the Vermont Consultants Network invited Dave Burke to come to speak to us neophytes about the world of blogs, podcasts, and webcasts.

Here is what came up for me:

So we found my blog, and he even added it to his RSS feeds. That means, of course, that I need to add something in order for it to show up. So, here it is.

Dave was an interesting speaker (and self-proclaimed double-geek, both as a computer programmer and library scientist), although he left most of us in the dust just trying to wrap our heads around how this blog stuff might apply to our lives, especially as consultants. For example, if I ever got around to making my web site for my web design business, then I may be able to point people to it. Or to my static comic strip site, www.anotherdaycomics.com.

Anyway, enough of the nauseating self-promotion. The talk today has given me the idea of just doing quick, one-frame cartoons and posting those as part of my blog.

Gotta go now. Dog is barking outside.
